Description

CHUCK BERRY didn’t invent Rock’n’Roll, but he came to embody it — the music, the rhythm, the spirit, and the youthful irreverence. His songs and guitar playing during the 1950s influenced just about every rock’n’roller who came after him. Yet his style — particularly his voice — was so singular that he would never be mistaken for anyone else. This portrait of Berry by Drew Friedman is being issued to commemorate Chuck’s 100th birthday.

He was born Charles Edward Anderson Berry on October 18, 1926 in St. Louis, and after a long, legendary career, made it to age 90. Even an encapsulated biography here would run to thousands of words. If you don’t know Chuck, look him up. If you do, buy a print and enshrine him where you can see him and be inspired by his musical energy every day.

Only twenty-five (25) fine art prints of CHUCK BERRRY were produced for this edition. Each hand-numbered print is signed and hand-titled by the artist.
